Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail popular place for Trek in Chiang Mai

Treks in Doi Inthanon National Par Inthanon National Park at Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail

Getting in reality memorial by trekking along Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail through the good-looking vernal woods, passing giant Rhododendrons, waterfalls and brooks which leads to a cliff that you'll enjoy awe-inspiring mountains views.

Kiew Mae Pan one of the handsome and gratifying treks in the park is a new trail which begins a short distance up the main top road from Napamaytanidol. The path leads for a kilometer or more through dense, soggy lush virgin forest, then emerges and follows the top of a steep slope bordering the valley headwaters of the Mae Pan River. Dotted with red rhododendron, the trail proceeds southward for another kilometer with fine, open views to the west, then re-enters the green forest and finally terminates at Napamaytanidol Jedi. Two hours would allow a leisurely walk with camera stops.

Trekking through the evergreen virgin forest with the clean air is very charming here. The total distant is approx two or 3 kilometers. It will take approx two - three hrs all the whole way. Kew Mae Pan is a delightful area for those who want to discover the sub-alpine environment. The path through the tacky lush rain forest leads the trekkers to see the ravine and pow. While walking pass the cliff edge comprehensive with a blanket of fog, you'll see Red Rhododendron, a very scarce and gorgeous native flower of the Himalayas and a variety of rare wild flowers. The Red Rododendron is in bloom during the period between December and February. You'll also witness some other native Himalayan plants thriving in an open filed with lush plain and sunlight. In the cool weather and scenic shady path, you will hear birds partying on the huge plants. Species commonly found here are vernal-tailed Sunbirds, Flycatchers and Vivid Niltava.
Absolutely said that Kew Mae Pan is most gorgeous during rainy season when the forest recovers its lushness after the dry spell. Howbeit, it is a pity that the trail is also temporary closed in the rainy season, allowing nature to reactivation. So, if you desire to go the Doi inthanon national park rain forest at its greenest, Mae Pan Cascade may be a good choice.
